Shayekh Bin Islam is a dedicated researcher, builder, and open-science contributor who currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at NeuronTree.AI. He holds a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering from BUET and has the distinction of being the first Bangladeshi MS student in Data Science at KAIST. Previously affiliated with BRAC University, Shayekh is an active open-science researcher within the Cohere Labs community and has collaborated with prominent institutions such as the Allen Institute for AI and Salesforce Research. His core research focuses on advancing multilingual NLP, complex reasoning, language agents, and preference optimization. This expertise has led to impactful contributions at top-tier artificial intelligence conferences, including first-author publications at ACL 2025 (Main Track) and EMNLP 2024 (Findings), as well as a spotlight co-authored paper at ICLR 2025.
